Going to be going with an Aimpoint and looking at these 2 models Comp C3 and the ML2. Going to be going on a 16" AR. Might add a magnifier later but who knows. Is one of these better than the other or should I just get whichever one I can find cheaper? What are the pro's and cons of each? Most shooting will be inside of 200 yards unless zombies invade or something of that nature. Any input is appreciated.

The only real difference is that the C3 is not tested to the same spec's at the M series. C3 is rated for 15ft water depth where as the M series are 90 to 120ft. All of the material used in construction is the same. the two units come with different accessories (lens caps, win/evl. retainers, ect.) but those things can be purchased separately.
If you keep your submarine insertions to a minimum the C3 will do everything you need

Comp C3 also has the 50,000 hour ACET diode, the ML2 is 1,000-10,000 hours.  I'm looking at the manual for mt new C3 right now (also have the ML2).

I just purchased one and i like it.   It does EXACTLY what i wanted it to do and for the money its "VERY NICE" (in the words of Borat)

I did purchase the basic Comp C3, I had to purchase a $13 YHM riser for it and it witness's purrrrrfectly on my AR.....

There are a couple CompM2's on the EE (Equipment Exchange) right now that would make good red dot's!
