Since the only difference seems to be the placement of the battery tube, high versus low, has anyone found any practical advantages of the M4 versus the M4S?

If you are using a magnifier, the M4s switch will be behind it if the magnifier is mounted on a Larue pivot mount. I like the M4s (and bought one) because I think the battery/switch tube is more protected and clear of my peripheral vision than the M4. It's probably more a matter of taste.
