| Since the only difference seems to be the placement of the battery tube, high versus low, has anyone found any practical advantages of the M4 versus the M4S? |

If you are using a magnifier, the M4s switch will be behind it if the magnifier is mounted on a Larue pivot mount. I like the M4s (and bought one) because I think the battery/switch tube is more protected and clear of my peripheral vision than the M4. It's probably more a matter of taste.
