I just received my new Aimpoint Comp ML3 2MOA today. I installed the battery that came with the box, and turn the selector switch - and I can barely see the dot on the first couple of click of the selector switch! is this normal? or maybe the battery is low?
Thank's for any help.

That's for nighttime use.

On mine the first few clicks barely show anything.

Do me a favor and crank it up to the high intensity. In your opinion, does that 2 MOA dot do as good a job as the 4 MOA up close?  Some swear you only need the 2 MOA, and can crank up the intensity for up close and dirty.

I have used them side by side and really can not tell a huge difference.

The most useful position for both the 2 and 4 moa is one click back from max.

I really don't know if the 4 is any faster.

The ML3 is not night vision compatible.

Not the way the M3 is, at least.

As I don't have a 4MOA to compare with my 2MOA -  I do not know if it will "do as good a job as the 4 MOA up close"

That being said, when I turn my 2MOA to the brightest setting, it does "bloom" a bit bigger than at other lower settings.
