When I clean my AR I take my Eotech off, and seem to have to re-zero it.  Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong.  I am wanting to by a good scope and mount and change between the EOTech and Scope.  But If I have to re-zero each time it may be more of a pain that it's worth.

How are you mounting the Eo-Tech? I suggest mounting it in a LaRue Eo-Tech mount and then when you take off the mount, it will re-zero. Don't take the Eo-Tech off the mount though.

Solution: Don't take the EOtech off when you clean.

OR YOU CAN DO THIS...

Make a witness mark on the thumb screw and the EOtech hood with the nail polish or similar product, it will indicate the location where you tighen the thumb screw,  count the times you turn the screw as require to remove the sight.

Make a witness mark of the EOTech body to the receiver rail so you know exactly which rail address you placed your EOTech.

If you torque your EOTech back onto your receiver everytime the same, you should be able to return to zero within + or - 1MOA.

The Larue Mount or upgrade to the EO Tech 553 that comes with the ARMS throw levers which retain zero to 1 MOA.
