I am building up a AR and want to know the reason for adding a tactical removal handle if I get a flat top receiver. This is my plan. I will be installing ACOG compact optics on a LaRue removable mount for the ACOG. I also want to add a Troy flip up rear sight.  Can this be done and is this the reason for the removable tactical handle. Does the tactical handle give me the height for the rear sight in relation to the front sight? Any opinions please... Thanks

Are you talking about the RRA "tactical handle" or the A3 carry handle?  You can't use either with LaRue's mount and Troy rear sight, it's either a carry handle or a rear sight with flat top mount.

For your application there is NO reason for a carry handle. Also the ACOG due to design does not co witness with BUIS. In other words, the ACOG needs to be removed to use the iron sight, so in the event you ACOG is damaged, flip the throw lever, remove it, flip up your sight, continue to fight (or practice)
