Is there anything wrong with getting an Aimpoint QRP mount as a starter to go with a ML3?  I know its not a LaRue, but I'm still sorting out the final build and would like to get something basic for now.

I like the QRP mount.

I use the QRP on my Comp M2,  it retains zero.

I did put a spacer in it for the height that I prefer.

The spacer was in the $10.00 range.

The QRP is a good mount, but you'll need the Universal Spacer.  Like you state it is not a LaRue.  Go to www.downrange.tv/show2 video clip Part 4 to watch how to properly mount it.

If we can help you get a QRP mount we have them in stock.

They are good mounts I like them.

Good mount, but I hate that damn knob on the left side.  Pokes out and grabs everything it can reach.

Thanks everyone for the info, and thanks for the video clip - I'll go check it out.

Thanks for the offer Mike, but the reason I asked is I was able to get one for about $60 off eBay, so I jumped on it.  I'll add your site to my bookmarks.

This has been the best bit of advice I have gotten off ARFCOM so far.  WOW.  I have learned more watching some of the various videos than I have of trolling the forum for the past few weeks.  No offense against anyone - there has been a lot of great info here, and you can ask questions - but being able to see someone demonstrate something is very educational.
