Are the Built in BUIS in some of the ACOG models any good? Basically would they be sufficient in the 50 yard range or would I be better served by the addition of a red dot for closer targets? |

Maybe I just need more practice with them, but I wasn't doing very good with the BUIS on my TA01NSN. I was doing alright within 15yds, but beyond that was kinda iffy. I've not tried it (yet), but I'd think a red dot would be faster and more accurate. Although, I still wouldn't underestimate the close range effectiveness of the ACOG. I was doing fine shooting as close as 15 and 25yds. Hope that helps a little! |
