Has anyone else had problems with their eotech 511 sights draining batteries. I put new batteries in and everytime it drains them literally within minutes. I tried different brands of batterie, leaving batteries out of the sight for a while and everything else I could think of. I sent the sight back to eotech and requested it be replaced with a 512 but they are very bad at communication and can't seem to give me a straight answer on what is wrong with my original sight or when I will be getting it back. So far I am very unhappy with the overall eotech product and customer service. I want to know if anyone has similar problems with the 511 sight or the customer service so I can have some advice on how to speed things up. |
| Email mostly, everytime I call they are closed even on some fridays. I finally got a hold of someone yesterday and he said it should be sent back next week. I am assuming it is fixed, he didn't say what was wrong with it, what was fixed or any sort of explanation. If the eotech is fixed i'm just gonna sell it and buy an aimpoint. I like the look of aimpoints better anyways. Now after the problems with eotech I don't trust their products and I don't like the short battery life anyways. |

I emailed the eotech rep again and now it is being looked at supposedly even though I was told 2 weeks ago it was fixed and would be shipped early last week. Eotech has the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. If you have a broken eotech you might as well cut your losses because they will just give you the run around. This is just a fair warning for those who are looking to buy a new optic. GO WITH ANYONE BUT EOTECH. |
