I'm interested in the Millet DMS and have been looking at the larue SPR mounts.  I have a rail system that goes over the rear of the receiver, nearly the whole way, raising the rail height maybe 3/8" or so.

Does anybody know if I go with something like the Larue SPR-E will it place the scope to high?  If so, what type of mounts are people using for something with an elevated rail?  Maybe just some low profile type rings?

Most rail risers are .5" high, as long as the one you have will allow you to set the scope far enough forward, than a medium set of Burris or Millet rings will give you the right height.  Using a one piece mount on top of the riser will put you at a centerline height of about 2", which may be a bit high.  I've used the DMS at 1.71" high and its good at that height, dont know about 2" though.

Got a pic?  What rail?

It's a rail made by Young Manufacturing.  Sorry for the crappiness of the pic, but it should work.

Bump one more time?  Any more ideas?

SPR mount is perfect height from the flattop.  The rail will make it too high IMO.  Just go with a set of tactical rings that put the center of the scope 1.4 to 1.5 inches off the flattop.

Cool.  Seems to be the consensus.  Thanks for the input everyone!
