Hello everyone, I am brand new here so please be gentle. I was recently given a Bushmaster Carbine and know virtually nothing about them. I have been reading the forum trying to learn as much as possible but, my question is this (actually I have a bunch of questions but I will try and pace myself) Do people have much success with a red dot sight on a carry handle? Obviously, I would prefer a flat top but this is what I've got. Also, if anyone has pictures of this setup I would appreciate seeing them. Thanks in advance. Swede |

imho the best way to mount optics on an A2 is with a 4 rail hand guard and mount either a eotech or an aimpoint above the bbl on the HG, this way ya can cowitness the irons and it works a lot better than goosenecks and carry handle mounts, goosenecks are "ok" but i just dont like the way they look, carry handle mounts are just horrible, i dont care for therm at all. i dont know how (if??) to post pics but em me and i will send ya a pic of my A2 if ya want to. |
+1 That's what I do on my Bushie A2 style. YHM four rail handguards with the Eotech on the 12 O'clock rail set for 1/3 cowitness. |
