[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Millet DMS question

Quick question for anyone with some experience with a DMS - can it be set up to be co-witnessed with a folding BUIS, specifficly a MI folding BUIS? The reason I ask is that a BUIS doesn't seem to be much of a back up if something were to happen, and you need to unmount your scope to use it. I've been leaning towards an Aimpoint or EOtech, but the flexibilty of a 1-4x has been nagging at me a bit as a more flexible system, but I don't like the idea of loosing iron sights all together.

Even at the 1X setting it isn't a true 1X and the FSB is a blur. So co-witnessing is kind of out of the question.

So as with any magnified optic, you need to dis mount it to go to your back up irons.

Yup. You aren't going to be able to Co-witness.
