So my Eotec is draining normal alkaline batteries every three to four months. Should I send the thing back to L3 communications? Or should I try the Lithium? I have only had it since March 08. Any advice would be great

I would try Lithium first, and send it back.  Your sure your not just forgetting to turn it off here and there, and it add's up over a 3-4 months?

Im sure i have forgot it once or twice. But it auto shuts off in 8 hours. So I don't see how that could eat up 600 hours . Also I did not get the flashing light low battery indicator. It just came on for a second and faded out. So I am thinking it drained out while sitting in the safe. I use the gun atleast once a weak for an hour or so , but I cannot see how that would be enough for this short battery life.
Has anyone here had better luck with the lithium batteries thanks for the help
