I received a well used ACOG and the fiber optic has seen better days. As far as I can tell it hasnt affected its function. I was just wondering if anyone here has replaced their fiber optic and if so, where did you get it and how hard was it to do?

Call or Email Trijicon. You can send it into them to get fixed up.

I recently sent my 14 year old Trijicon back to them for refurbishment and was originally quoted a price of 200 and some dollars. When I received it back from them the invoice was marked no charge. Turn around time was slightly less than 2 weeks.

Leave it alone, it's only cosmetic. From what I heard, the light gathering capability of the new, shiny and clear fiber optic tube isn't as good as the old translucent tubes.

Yes it is only cosmetic. Also, I am unable to tell the difference between the two fiber covers.

Me neither

But I don't have two ACOGs of the same model to compare. My TA31F has the older tube that has hairline cracks in it, while my TA31DOC has the newer, shiny tube.

They're all bright to me

That just means you need to get another ACOG in the stable!!

I'm waiting for the new TA31H, to go with my Malibu life style

Contrary to what many people see in postcards and on TV, I've never seen horses on the beach. Dogs are not even allowed on most of the beaches here, I do see horses on trails though, if not the horsies themselves, their poop

Just kidding about the Malibu life style. Per US census, Malibu isn't the wealthiest town in Southern CA, most people are working stiffs like me.
