I have been contemplating building a 6.8mm spc rifle but first I need to get together a budget and idea of what I will be spending. I really love my Bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40, and I recently put a Tasco Target 6-24x on my girlfriend’s rifle that I thought would be an excellent choice if it had slightly better optics. Now I thought a merger of these two scopes would be perfect, and came up with the Bushnell Banner 6-24x40 Rifle Scope Matte Mil Dot for about $109. Here is my question. Does anyone have any pictures are information on the windage or elevation adjustments. I wanted some type of resettable target turret, and I could not find any information on the function of the adjustments on this scope. Also here is a list of the scopes I have looked at and considers. If anyone has any suggestions or other options, I would really like your input. I do not want to spend more than $180, which is about what it would cost me to get another Bushnell 3200. The more I look into it, the more good things I hear about BSA scopes. This one looks pretty tempting www.swfa.com/pc-5544-214-bsa-6-24x44-platinum-target-riflescope.aspx BSA 6-24x44 Platinum Target Riflescope comes with sun-shades and a boresighter, anyone have anything bad to say about them. It looks like the get at least 4 out of 5 stars on the various reviews I have found. |
| I own a Bushnell Banner and I have it on my R700 30-06, it is a very good optic for the price but I find mine works much better for 100+ yds of shooting under that it seems as if the crosshair is a bit blurry.. I have the 3x9x50mm.. as for putting a Bsuhnell Banner on an AR I would really never even thing about it due to it being slow.. but if it is a bench/target/hunting AR then it will be fine |

I already have a few tactical Ar-15's so this one will be for hunting. I don't have any ranges around that I can visit regulary enough to warrant the expensive 6.8 ammo, but thought It would make a good hunting rifle. What about the target turrents, are they easily ajustable and numbered for complete rotations as well as moa clicks? So if it has been rotated so 3 complete rotations away from zero can one easily tell that it needs to be rotated down 3 complete rotations based on the markings, or do you just have to remember like most scopes. Thanks The BSA has obvious turrets and unless I hear or see some complaints agaisnt them I will probably be going with it. |
