I was looking at purchasing a EOtech with a single 1moa dot for a fun at the range optic for various rimfires and maybe a pistol.  Anyone have any experience with one?

DEL-TON had an email flyer sale a couple weeks ago for 10% off and I ordered a 511 (I have a pile of N-cells for my HP calculator) on the spur of the moment.  $335 including shipping.

I got a chance to test it out yesterday on an AR.  I like it a LOT.  The 1-MOA dot is very small, the controls are easy to use, and the adjustments are positive.

The outer ring is segmented and not a solid-line circle like the EOTech website.  I'm a little disappointed in that, but expected it from previous reviews here.

This sight seems like it would be a little large for a pistol, regardless of the mounting issues; I would further solicit opinions on this configuration.

Seems like a LOT of expense for a rimfire.  There are some reasonable $30-$60 red dots out there (but not with 1 MOA dots) that would be a better fit.
