Ok, I have an ARMS 40L-P BUIS and I'm not exactly sure how to use it. I know how to use the apertures. My question is how and when do you use the notches above each aperture? Since the notches are above the apertures they are going to lower the point of impact.

I talked to A.R.M.S today. The notches above the apertures are intended for close up engagements and used like pistol sights. They are not intended for target shooting.

Line up your front sight with the notch to account for bullet drop at 400 meters. Next time you shoot irons at 400, you'll be thankful!

Even though some feel it may seem useless to put the notch there (who shoots with their back up iron sight at 400 anyway?), I rather like having them there. They dont get in the way at all, and hey... you just never know?!
