Ok, I've decided to spend the money and get a Larue QD scope mount.  My question is this...I'll be mounting a variable power scope to my flat-top and need to know which height is right for me.  The only thing that worries me is that I have the standard A2 front sight.  So do I go with the QD LT-104 or the higher one?  the QD LT-135?  I'll be mounting a Nikon Monarch 3-12x42mm BDC on it.  thanks.

That is high enough magnification that you will not see the post. The lower one would work fine.

+1 - you'll never see the front sight.  The goal is to get the scope the right height for your cheek weld.  Typically, that's in the 1.3-1.5" range on ARs - 1.4" is the iron sight height.

If you need the scope to clear a BUIS as well, you may need a little extra height, or a low BUIS like the Troy or the MI MCTAR-SPLP.
