I know I am going to get flammed for this but has anyone actually bought and used thier optics. I am poor and wanted an optic to see if I like it over buis. I know you get what you pay for but I figure if I don't like it on the ar I could stick it on my plinker 22.

i think you can find name brand stuff in the same price range. it will likely be equally crappy thought.

i have found that low end garbage is just that garbage. save an extra 50.00 and but something functional.

Unfortunately there is no short cut on optics... you get what you pay for.

With that said, I have had very good success with Bushnell banner fixed 4x scopes.  They are tough, simple, and the glass isn't horrible.  They also have a quick reticle.

They aren't "sexy" but they will work.  I currently have one on my .30-30 and it does the job.  I've also used them successfully on .22's and AR carbines.

Plus they are $60 from SWFA.

Good luck.
