I'm considering whether to purchase an A2 type carbine for a SHTF street gun. Would you share your A2 optics experiences with me, good or bad? Have you found any 1x optics that work as well mounted on an A2, as an A4? Thanks for your input and guidance. |
Does the scope give you as good a view sitting on the gooseneck as it would closer, like on a flatop? |

The issue I have is the amount of additional offset now required at CQB distances. So for $100 you can send in your A2 upper to someone and swap out with a Flattop, which gives you way better options. I use to run an Optic on a A2 for many years, before I got smart....

Funny, actually, that the rifle pictured "grew" (as they do) out of the A2 receiver that was left over when I converted my 6520 to a flattop. |
