[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Jpoint ?

Just got my Jpoint for my acog yesterday and on the bottom there is nothing to keep moisture out?the bottom is just open to the battery. Are all jpoints this way?Stupid design if you ask me. I think Im either going to make a thin rubber gasket or mount it and place a thin bead of silicon around the edge.Anyone have any issues b/c of this?

Sounds like you need a mounting adapter.

From the pics there doesnt seem to be any adaptor just the jpoint mounted directly to the acog mount.I just figured there would be something covering the exposed battery

I was concerned about this. I cut a thin piece of neoprene to use a as a gasket. It worked well with the larue mount.
