| So I bought a 551 about 2 months ago, and to my disapointment it seems to be draining batteries. Not sure if there are any solutions for it or not but at the moment when I put it away for a week or so then come back the batteries are dead. Is it a known problem or am I just stuck w/ removing the batteries after use? |
| Send it in to L3 for service. They'll take care of you. I bought one used that had a distorted reticle, sent it to them, they fixed that, added several upgrades, and sent it back to me all for free. It was out of warranty by a while too, I might add. Just send it in, they'll take care of you. |
I have a 551 and 552 and I have never had any major problems with getting the spec of 200 hours more or less from my 1st red dot, the 551 rev F. I agree contact them. |
