Save yourself some sorrow and get an Aimpoint.  My dreams of an Eotech were shattered when my 512 ran down the batteries even when it was turned off.  For the life of me, I don't know how our troops keep batteries in those things with 16 or so hours of daily use.

As a guy that has had an Aimpoint M68, EOTech 552 and some kind of 4x ACOG...

I dont like Aimpoint's M68 but it's apparently more reliable than the hit-or-miss EOTechs.

Yea I like the aimpoints and Acog's but there a little too pricey for me, I just shoot target so I dont really need something that expensive. The eotech's are the cheapest I think. If anybody can tell me where to get a cheap one from $200-$250 that would be great. Thanks

And if anyone can find me gas for $1.50 a Gal... that would be great too.....

You want one.. you  pay the going price.. or you search on the Equipment exchange board until you find  a used one that someone is selling at the price you want....(good luck with that price range )

That's how it works.

You can find a new 512 for around $359. If that is too high you might consider:

a Bushnell HOLOsight (made by EOtech) - $239.94 at Optics Planet

or

a Burris Speed Dot - $158.00 at Binoculars.com
