I plan on ordering a RRA NM A4.  I am getting the carry handle to have iron sights but I want to be able to use a scope also.  I don't plan on using both sights at the same time, when I want to use scope I will take off the handle.  So my question is, with all the mounts out there, high, low, one-piece, which is the best?  I looked at RRA Hi-Riser mount with 1" rings, or maybe a Larue or an A.R.M.S throw lever.  Which is the best?  Should I get a 1" or 30mm?  Should I get a mount that pushes the scope forward?  I usually have my nose to the charging handle when I shoot if this helps any.  Thanks!

Well as of right now I have a Leupold VXII 2-7x.  A scope in that area is what I am looking at, probably nothing over a 3-9x 40mm.  A normal hunting/shooting scope is what I am looking to use.  I want to make sure the mount I get will give me enough eye relief and proper height.  I shoot with my nose to the charging handle and from what I read that might be a factor.

I REALLY like the Armalite mount.  It is one piece.  It mounts the scope to have the same height as the iron sights (same cheek weld).  AND it also has the needed forward offset so you can get the same eye relief as with irons (nose to charging handle).

With most scopes, if you just try to use high rings, you can get the height, but the front ring, in the most forward rail notch, will be right where the turrets are.  The forward slant of the Armalite mount solves that problem.

The Armalite is available in both 1" and 30 mm sizes.  Whether you chose 1" or 30 mm depends on if your scope has a 1" or 30 mm tube.

You may also want to consider, instead of buying the detachable carry handle, buying the RRA Dominator sight.  This thing has a rear sight just like the A2 sight, but there is a low rail ahead of it that can be used to mount an Eotech or other sight.

Here's the Armalite mount... and a very reasonable price, too, about $80.00.

And here's the RRA Dominator sight/mount

Thanks for the pics of the armalite mount on my topic.  I will be switching from scope back to iron sights probably often.  Does the armalite hold its zero well when it gets moved around?

I have the Armalite mount with a 2x7 Leupold as well. When removing/installing scope mount I notice that at most I need to adjust the elevation 1-2 clicks at 100 yds. Not bad when you consider that would be .5 MOA adjustment for a $70 mount.

+1 on the Armalite. The RRA one piece won't give you the eye relief.
The YHM rail was added so the scope would clear the buis.
