What are you going too use it for, targets, hunting etc.

A 3-9x or 3.5-10x power would be a good choice, if you want more maginfaction.
4-14x or 6.5-20x or more.

You need to set a budget and make a decision what type of shooting you want to do. Poking paper at the range, varmint, or what ever? Are you looking to have a clone to what is in service now?

I ended up buying a Leupold 3.5-10x40 M1 LR for my SR15. I wanted the Dark Earth model but wasn't willing to spend the extra that everyone wants for them just to have a luminated reticle and M2 style knobs.

The options are never ending!!!!!

Right now I'm using for  targets and variment hunting. I've looked at Leupold and the options are never ending. I can't decide what I need to get. For the budget I thought around 1200. Everyone is telling me I'll spend more on the scope than I did the gun.

For 1200 you can get nice scope, i have leupold 6.5-20x i use it for squirrel & praire dogs, and targets, i payed around $721.00 for it, it's very clear glass, i don't think you can go wrong with luppy scopes.

also have bushnell 5-15x tatical it nice scope for the money, it's never ending the choices for optics just buy good quality you should be good to go.

I think I may go for the Trijicon Accupoint TR-20R 3-9X40. Thought also about the
2.5-10X56 but all the reviews I read say 40-42mm objective lens is plenty and anything bigger than that is not needed.hinking.gif

I'm probably going to get it from LaRue.com since they have the scope and mount combo and it seems to be reasonably priced.

Sound like it would make a good combo for your rifle, let us know how it shoots.

For what you are talking about the Leupold sound like it would be a good way to go.  The Leupold MK4 4.5-14x40mm or 50mm and the 6.5-20x50mm I think would be a good way to go.

We sell Leupold, Nightforce, USO, and more.  If we can be of help feel free to ask.
