I've had a Leupold 2.5-8 power, glossy scope with a duplex reticle and a 1" body for a while. Its a nice scope but I think I want to sell it to get something new. How can I determine exactly which model it is to figure out a fair price? Thanks! |

Finding the model number can be tricky, but it can be done, depending on how old the scope is. First, figure out which model it is - that'll be on the objective ring. VX-I, Vari-X IIc, whatever. It'll also have the objective diameter, like 2.5-8x40. Plug all this into Google and see what comes up. Your scope should be there. Often, you don't really need the model number, just the model name, power, and objective size. Anyhow, take all that to ebay and see what they're selling for. If you have an ebay account, log in and look at completed auctions. Used Leupolds sell well, due to the lifetime no-questions warranty. |
