I have sighted in scopes before, but seeing as how my last attempt took 80 rounds, looking for fast tips and stuff. My mistake last time was that I did't realize that they were 1/4 moa click adjustments so it took me a while to do I usually use evil paper plates till they are landing in the middle and then break out the targets. doing this at 25 yards squares this up at 100 yards correct? Thanks in advance for the info guys.

I start at 25 yards and get it close then go out to 100 or 200 for final sighting. gun stability is a must. Once you get it close at 100 yards, then you shoot 3 shots before you decide on adjustment. then as you dial closer 5 even 10 shots. You can waste a lot of ammo and time chasing that fine tune if adjusting every single shot. Also use the same ammo, a mix can throw you off. |
