hi, got a question about this mount. i thought i read somewhere that while the QRP will mount directly to the flattop, it needs a spacer in order to co-witness with the Front sight. however, i've been unable to locate anything specifically that says this and i cant remember for sure.  i looked on aimpoints website and couldnt find the info i was looking for.

so the questions are, is a spacer required for this mount to get absolute co-witness? if so, whats the spacer look like? can someone post a few pics please?

Thanks

Thq QRP mount will cowitness with iron sights ,IIRC the spacer is used for lower 1/3 cowitness,

This is the spacer:

so if i understand the pic correctly, the spacer sits in on the bottom 1/2 of the mount and is used in conjunction with whats already there to elevate the optic in the mount. is this correct?

awesome! thanks again.

this will give me absolute co-witness? any way to raise the QRP to get 1/3 co-witness? possibly using a riser of some sort is the only thing i can figure.

Yes the riser will give you absolute cowitness, the dot will sit right on the front sight post. I don't know about raising it higher but I guess a spacer would work. I'm not too crazy about the idea of a sight on a spacer in a mount on another mount though.

i'm not either. but i've found a retailer selling an ML3 and a free QRP.  pretty good prices and since i'm tight on cash, its something i'm considering to hold me over til i can afford a better mount.
