| What is your opinion on the Troy folding rear sight. Troy or MI .the local dealer has Troy in stock but they are about $50.00 more than the rest is it worht the extra $...ty |

The Troy has several things going for it, depending on what you like. - It's one of the lower BUIS', so will fit under more scope/mount combos. - The large aperture is active when flipped up. - The apertures are same-plane for no zero shift - The apertures are the same size as the mil-spec A2 apertures - The windage adjustment is low profile and shrouded so it doesn't get knocked out of adjustment easily - It locks in the up position - It's well made and solid - Low profile clamping screw Some of these are personal preference - some people like their windage knob to be easily adjustable, but for a combat sight, it's better to have it stay in the zeroed position. |

If you want a rear sight that is tough and allows you to make adjustments by hand, then its the MI. I have only had mine a month or two now and I really like it. I also own a Troy, 1st generation, and can't say anything bad about it. Its tough and does the job. Its just a little tougher to adjust without a tool. |
