I need some help with purchasing a new scope for my Armalite AR10. Ive been looking at the Accupoint series pretty closely and am pretty sure I'm gonna go with one. On a carbine model AR, what power would you recommend? Money isn't so much an issue right now so what would be the best choice? Flattop upper by the way.

1.25-4x24

3-9x40

2.5-10x56

Also is a larue mount really necessary? My only concern with the 2.5-10 is the size. Is a scope of that power too big for the carbine model AR?

If anyone with experience has any suggestions about other optic options please share.

Thanks again.

Before you can get useful advise on choosing an optic, you need to give us you intended use for the carbine.

Is a LaRue mount necessary?  Depends, is a repeatable zero necessary to you?

LaRue Tactical is and always will be the only way optics attach to my ARs

Probably a mixture of hunting and recreational shooting. No matches or anything like that. Most of the shooting would be inside 500 meters I would imagine.
