| Does anyone have any experience with the B-Square one piece mount? I have an Armalite one piece mount but sort of like the look of this one. They seem about the same price range but I like the length of the B Square. |
| Had 1 that came with a Colt. It mounts the scope higher and is lighter than an Armalite, has a single vertical roll pin in the underside of it to act as a recoil lug, thumb screws thread into mount to clamp to upper. I prefer stud type clamping and a better recoil lug setup like an Armalite. |

Used the one that came w/ the CR6724 rifle, (exact same as what you are asking about) and although I had to shim it in the rear to get the elevation adjustments needed to get to 1K line, it worked and stayed put for years, until it was replaced w/ another one piece scope mount with a 25 MOA cant built in, (made by Mamba). Not the best option and no good for removal and repeating zero, but it works. mike |

I've got some pics of the roll pin recoil lug up here: maxicon.com/guns/optics/one_piece/ar15_onepiece_mounts.htm#b-square It's an interesting piece, and was shipped by Colt for a while on their precision rifle model, as was mentioned. Those have the Colt logo on the side, while others say B-Square only. I handled a couple the other day in a shop, and they weren't very impressive. They didn't feel real sturdy or solid, there are only 2 screws per ring, and the roll pin recoil lug doesn't inspire confidence, but I haven't actually used one yet. I'm waiting for one to show up cheap to test it out. They have extra forward eye relief and height compared to the Armalite. |
