1. is it normal for the eotechs that use n batteries to draw all the current out of the batteries when they are left in the sight for extended periods of time?

2. does this happen with the aa version?

3. is there a fix for this problem?

4. is there an explanation for this problem?

i have an older 502 and a 511 rev f version and both sights drain the batteris down when i leave them in the sight ,,, now this doesnt happen over night but it happens, i got both out of the safe this week to check them and both reticles flashed when i turned the sight on,,,,,, my best guess would  be atleast 3 or 4 months on the 502 and about 6 months on the 511 ,,,,,, i might have made 2 trips to the range maybe 3 in that time so not much use on the batteries and i made sure i turned them off because of unexplained dead batteries in the past........ already e-mailed eotech and they said send them back for repairs i just wanted to ask the experts before i shipped them off .....any help would be appreciated
                         Thanks shocker

Can't address the N-battery model, but the AA Model (552) does NOT have this issue.  At least mine doesn't. I'm embarrassed to admit how long the batts have been in mine--2+ years with moderate use. No corrosion and it works fine.  It's not a working gun so if it craps out--there are new batts in the bag.
