I am looking for a mount like the LaRue LT-110.. I want to raise the EOTech so it will still Co-Witness but in the lower third.. Does anyone else make a quality mount the is cheaper?? It doesnt need to be a quick release, matter of fact I would rather it wasnt.. Thanks |

YHM makes an Eotech mount, but is there some reason you prefer to not have QD? The LaRue QD Eotech mount will mount as solid as any non QD mount. |
Just a guess here....but they probably have no need to remove it and thus don't see the point in paying extra for something that they'll never use. |
You are correct.. Also seeing how it will never need to be QD'd I would rather not have to worry about it accidently being QD'd.. Nothing against LaRue I have a couple of their other QD mounts on my SPR and another carbine and I love them.. Just looking for somthing a little different to suit my needs.. Thanks |

I started off with my eotech mounted directly on the upper receiver flat top. With an A2 type rear sight and the std FSB, you get cowitness in the center of the eotech window. I have since gone to the YHM eotech riser, which puts the eotech up about 1/4 inch. Now if I want to use the iron sights, they are as far down toward the bottom of the window as possible. The advantage is that while shouldering the rifle (carbine) you can sweep and scan using more of the upper viewing area in the eotech window without making a cheekweld on the stock. I think you'd like the YHM riser and its not real expensive to try it out. |
Can you post a pic of your gun with the YHM riser?? Or anyone else?? Thanks |
Will the LaRue Tactical Picatinny Riser QD LT-101, which raises any optic by 5/8 of an inch, work as well or will in keep the FSB too low, below the window? I have a flat top with a std A2 FSB also. I want to set up my Eotech so the std FSB is as low as possible in the window. Has anyone else used the LT-101 with their Eotech? Semper Fi, GT |
