I have a few broken aimpoints, which i do not know what is wrong with them. i believe they are old MIL equiptment that was sold as scrap because they were busted(gunshow pickup for cheap). annyways im wondering if i bought a bunch of paperweights or if aimpoint will repair them. and if so how much they usualy run to overhaul a broken sight. the glass and other parts appear to be 100%, im assuming it is a electrical or internal issue. |

A couple of years ago I had an ML2 that would no longer hold zero. I contacted Aimpoint and they said that I had to send it to the factory (Sweden) for service. The problem is that it is quite expensive to send it to Sweden and I wasn't sure that it would be covered as a warranty repair. I felt that with the shipping expense both ways and any substantial repair cost, it could be cheaper to replace it rather than repair it. I ran across a guy on another forum that was an Aimpoint representative. I contacted him and asked if there was any repair facilities in the U.S. He instructed me to send it to him (in Arkansas). A week later I had a brand new replacement - no charge. The bad news is that the last time I saw a post by this gentleman, he announced that he was no longer associated with Aimpoint. I realize that this really doesn't help much, but unless things have changed; they have to go back to Sweden. |

Aimpoint USA will take care of you with out a doubt. I have had two aimpoints fail one was an ML2 that just stopped working. The other was an M3 that would only work on the two highest settings. Both times they replaced the sight and with the M3 they gave me a new rubber cover even though I already had one. Aimpoint USA is right up their with Bushmaster for great customer service. |

Aimpoint will only take care up to a certain point....I send my M-XD into the facility for repair since the dot is no longer bright enough... any ways, it was returned as it was because they no longer warranty this model. no repair was done. I think the ML2 is still in the running for replacement or repair. |
