Howdy,

I just got my 10/22 and put Tech-Sights on it.  I believe (though am not 100% sure) that the front sight post on those is the same as an M16A1 (five holes and a round post).  I really like that picture a lot better than my square A2 post.  Can I just drop an A1 pin straight into my A2 front sight tower?  And if anyone knows, is the post on my tech-sights (I'm about to have two) just an A1 sight post?  That way I could just drop the second post into my AR's tower.

Lastly: Would anyone not recommend the A1 front sight post for any reason?

Thanks.

Yep, the A1 will fit your A2 fsb.
I like the A1 better, for me the shape of the sight and it being a little thinner naturally draws my eye better than an A2. + finer adj. 5 vs 4 adjustments. all the ARs I have wear them unless a scope only weapon.

Some folks prefer the A2 because it puts a flat surface to the eye for less glare. and sharper image.

The A1 is thinner and can offer a more precise aiming point for stock (non match) sights.
