Want a variable for 50m to 400m max, but used at 200m on average -- which would you choose.  For use on a 20" HBAR AR15.  General purpose "enhanced magnification"  scope:   Paper, critters, zombies, SHTF,  ect...

If most of your shooting is paper or small vrmints at 200 yards I would go with the higher magnification.

I have the fixed 6x and it is good out to 200 for medium targets, beyond that it is tough or for small targets it is just enough. If you are going to be shooting targets or want added accuracy go with the 3X12. You will be happy with Meopta, the eye relief is perfect for the AR.
