| does anyone have one or know anything about them? how good are they? i'm looking at puttin a scope on my AR for some coyotes any help is appreciated |
I've done exactly that. I took my 3.5-14X Mueller APV off my 10/22 and mounted it on my flat top. I'm going after coyotes this winter and I'm going to keep it there while I look for a better one. That is, something with a ranging reticle and target turrets. That may also be a Mueller, but I haven't decided. Mueller's are better than any other scope at their price point and better than many scopes that are more expensive. The Tac II 3-10 in particular has been tested and reviewed a couple times very favorably. Yes, I have two 25-year old Leupolds on my hunting rifles and a Mueller won't hold up to that comparison, but they ain't bad. |

There's an excellent review at www.muelleroptics.com. Go to the site and look for the TAC II scope and click on the link to the "Read the most recent review"(the review is not written by Mueller). The TAC II scope is their best scope and is the only one from Mueller that is totally assembled in Japan, and not China. Hope this helps. -Kenny |
| i have three a apv, 3-10x44 tac II and a 4-16x50 adj /obj mildot. the tac II is made in japan is a mildot and has very good glass. the 4-16x50 mildot for the money is also very nice i have had this scope on ar-15,308, 6mm and a 300win mag. never had a problem it allways holds zero and tracks with no problems. the 4-16x50 is large very long the one thing i am not crazy about is that it is 1/8 clicks. the apv is on a 17hmr and is a great value for a 4-14x40 a/o scope i have only used it on rimfire. i also have a frend that had a problem with a 3-9x40 target dot that was about 2 years old. he sent it back and they sent him a new one took about 7days.they are a nice scope for the price point. i can not put good glass on every rifle i own . i also own (2) 2.5-10x44 mildot nikon tacticals, 1.5-5 30mm spr mr/t leupold, 4.5-14x40 mildot nikon buckmaster. so i do have some good glass to compare them to.in or close to that price range you could also look at the nikon buckmaster they are nice for the money also. thats my .02 hope it helps |
