| Any use Countersniper optics crusader 1x4x24. If so how do u like it. Do they have a web page. |
| I got sucked in and bought one from Midway. I haven't shot any with it yet. Just looking through it, the glass is very clear. It is not true 1x, and I think the reticle would kind of suck for any close work, just my opinion. The target knobs are horrible. They go from clean and crisp to soft and mushy and back again all in one rotation, and in my opinion, are very unnecessary on a 1-4 optic. As far as durability, I don't know yet cause I haven't shot with it. So far, for me, I think the Cons outweigh the Pros. |
Mine has no markings. No company name, no company logo, no serial number, NOTHING ! Good indication that it is not made in the US. |

Lots of info on an earlier thread: ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=18&t=342322 When their web site was up, they didn't mention Made In USA among all the other marketing claims. I'd be surprised if they were made anywhere but China, but am always open to being surprised. Here's their current web - not very helfpful. The old web used to be in the Google archives, but someone had them pulled... countersniperoptics.com/ |
a member made a phone call to the company. Company claims they are made in the US. IMO, that's up in the air. I just don't know for certain. I've got the 1-4x24, purchased used on the EE. -Glass is very clear. There is slight magnification at 1x. -Target knobs are handy, but unnecessary on a scope of this nature IMO. They do lock so inadvertent movement isn't an issue. My initial impressions of the click adjustments were positive. After further use this past Sunday, my feeling are mixed. Although the clicks were audible and tactile through the middle range, at the ends they become kind of soft and less distinct. -Seems well-constructed but I haven't beat the tar out of it (not HSLD)...just at the range. It hasn't been beat up enough to make the call on this. -For close up work the reticle works better illuminated. The aiming point is a simple "+". No markings of any kind on the scope body. Sun Vector (Chinese MFG.)has a scope similar to this one, but the adjustment knobs and body markings are different. I believe that $400 is a bit pricey for this scope. IMO, $300 approximates the scope's value. ETA: I sent the CS people an email asking about some of the unknowns. I'll post the reply if I get one. |

complete scam. I called the company in Rochester NY at 866 883 9444. Frank Miller, the "owner" of the company called me back from 417 883 9444. He cursed. He doesn't know what Betryllium is. he doesn't know who "Trademarked" (TM) it. He won't give an address for the manufacturing facility in Rochester NY - it's none of my business. he said there's a waiting list 12 miles long for the Titanium scopes. He's basically a complete poser. Beware. The burden of proof appears to be on those who think this IS a legitimate company. Caveat Emptor. Scam, scam, scam. |
