I'm thinking about a SF M96 w/a tape switch clicker combo. I really prefer no broom handle and want to attach the TS to the pickninney rail. What is the cleanest method to attach a tape switch to a rail? Also...does the 7" switch wire plug in or is it removable? Do you give the M96 overall high marks?? |
| I use an M96 with the XM tailcap; I also magwell mount my weapon with the offhand. Put a piece of Velcro on the right side of the magwell if you prefer a bird/ring finger activation or the left side of the upper if you prefer thumb activation. I use both, since sometimes white light / IR laser / IR illuminator combinations are employed simultaneously. If shooting left handed, it works almost as well with offhand palm activation for the magwell switch, and index finger activation of the upper left switch. Obviously, if you are left handed, swap the side of the weapon for the Velcro positions. YMMV |
