Hello all, Im new to this site so if this is the wrong section to post this....sorry. I recently installed a scope onto the cary handle of my colt ar and im having trouble getting a good cheek weld. I was wondering if there is some kind of raised cheek piece i could install on an A2 stock without having to modify it too much. Basically im looking for something i can uninstall in a few minutes and you'd never know it had been there. This is my first venture into the world of optics/mods and id like to keep it simple...and cheap. I've been looking around and so far all i can find are full adjustable stocks that i could just buy a new flat top upper for what they cost. Thanks in advance for any replies. |

Thanks for the link. I found this on amazon http://www.amazon.com/AR-15-Cheek-Rest/dp/B000B1ASEQ/ref=sr_1_2/105-4294911-6901258?ie=UTF8&s=sporting-goods&qid=1193963729&sr=8-2 and this (little too pricey) http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/ProductDetail.aspx?p=20731&title=AR-15+ADJUSTABLE+CHEEKPIECE I think ill try the amazon one first just because its cheap and if it doesnt work its not a big deal. The main problem im having is that i shoot with my nose almost touching the charging handle and its hard to find a rest that goes up that far. The amazon one looks like it's pretty long but they don't give any measurements so its hard to tell. I'll probably just end up going through all the cheap ones i find until i've spent the same amount of money it would have cost to just get a nice one in the first place. |
