Try mounting it on a gooseneck mount infront of the carry handle or get a railed handguard and mount on that.I have a flat top and use an eotech so im not sure if it will adjust lower..aimpoints work well on carry handles I know that for sure.

Wired,
Are you saying you have a fixed handled carbine and you've mounted the EOTEch on top of the carry handle?

If so then you should still be able to zero it at 25y- but I wouldn't recommend it - a 75y zero would be better.

Try mounting the EOTech to the Free Float tube.  Better yet use a LaRue mount (quick detach and absolute return to zero) and mount it to the tube.

It will make your carbine a bit nose heavy, but with a 50y zero you'll be good to go.

Actually thats right for the most part.I dont remember how much but my Strike Dot shoots low at 25 when zero'd at 50.And FWIW I just installed a ACOG Reflex 2 on my A2 and im in love.Alot of people complain about the washout but its been minimal at best, for me anyways.Did I mention its an ACOG(my first if you cant tell)

With that setup - if you're zeroe's at 50y it would be physically impossible to be hitting 4" low at 25y.  You would have to be pulling the rifle down as you pulled the trigger. (like you're trying to see the bullet hit the target).

With a true 50y zero (i.e. you're pulling 1-2" 5-10 shot groups where the center of the group is at the aiming point) your bullets will strike from 1"-1.25" low at 25y with that setup.

Are your groups tight? My bet is that its your shooting not your sight, also is your rail free float, that could be moving on you as well if its not.
