| I am looking to remove the carry handle on both my Colt 6920 and Bushy M4 clone. I want to mount either an eotech or aimpoint on both. I've read a bunch of stuff saying to go with a good fixed A2 sytle rear sight that has the elevation and windage adjustments and two locking screws for the rail. Can you co-witness with this type of rear sight? I hear everyone likes the ARMS #40 but it has no rear elevation? Anyone tried or has opinions on the Wilson Combat flip up rear? |

I like the ARMS #40...snaps up smartly into place with the flick of your thumb (spring loaded). Haven't had any problems with it. Subjectively, I don't like having to flip the peep to get it to lay flat (won't lay flat with small peep "up"). I really liked my GG&G A2 (rock solid), but felt I should've gotten the MAD (lower profile). I'm using a Matech at the moment, but don't have much time with it to comment much. I'm using the Troy sight and it works well too. No time with the Wilson sight, but IMO the elevation is unnecessary and it's quite expensive for a BUIS. Hope this helps, good luck |

LaRue for a fixed, use this on my Mk18 clone Troy for a folding, use these on my AR10A4. Have owned LMT fixed, KAC 300M folding, ARMS 40, GG&G Mad. I like everything about the LMT except where they put the locking screw. If they put it on the opposite side, away from the charging handle, I think they would tie with LaRue. |

I don't know why people have such a hard on for ARMS sights. I've got two, they're nice - but it ends there. Honestly, I like my YHM sights a lot better. I guess I'm just not a huge fan of spring tension. I prefer a detent to lock the sight in place, like Troy, MI, YHM and all those other sights. |

in my opinion...anything that doesn't have springs or detents. I prefer a fixed style BUIS just for simplicity sake because no need to fiddle or hit something to deploy it since it is always up and there (though i understand that it isn't an option with magnified optics or dual optic setups, but I run neither of those). If I did need a folding one the only thing that I'd require it to have is a dual aperture and as simple as possible. My motto is always that the simple solution is generally the best solution (i.e. K.I.S.S. theory) |

I have a ARMS 40 on my BACK UP LMT M4 / bushy and on my go to Complete LMT Defender 2000 M4 I have ARMS 40 L same plane wich I like alot better! Both are WELL made and PROVEN in the Field I also like the TROY with same plane APS Some troys that I looked at had the aPS hole drilled backasswards? Im sure they have fixed this PROBLEM BTW with my 7 yr old Aimpoint I dought I will ever need my buis Now my 551 eotech Im so glad yo have a BUIS |

Through this board I meet a Spec Forces Capt with 4 combat tours to the sand box. He's been there, done that of course and is a super nice guy to boot. One of the things he has done while taking and returning fire in a CQB environment is switch from his optic to BUIS "right damn now". He said there just wasn't time to fiddle around with buttons, switches, springs etc. In combat he runs an LMT BUIS behind an Aimpoint and not because it has an elevation adjustment. I imagine something like a Larue would be just as good or better. I think the LMT looks mo betta cool but I'm not talking cool just function here. I run ARMS #40 (and 40L), Troy BUIS and LMT. When I'm playing (all the time really)they all work great. My SHTF home land defense weapon sports an Aimpoint with an LMT BUIS. My trunk gun has an LMT BUIS that I use as a stand alone sight. I can always throw on an Aimpoint or Eotech for a match no problem. YMMV |
I have a Complete LMT DEFENDER M4 14.5 arms 40lsp Larue canti/ML2 aimpoit and a BACK UP Bushy/LMT M4 14.5 arms 40 EOTECH 551 I love LMT BUT HATE HATE there so called BUIS |
