What should I be looking for in a good quality sight? I do not want a "scope" but prefer to have a, for lack of better terminology, red dot sight. What should the MOA be? Better in daylight or night light? Adjustments? Of course price, around the medium range. It would be for CQB no hunting or long range use beyond 100yds. All input is appreciated.

Red dot sight is the proper term.

Of course, price reflects quality, so buy the very best you can.

I vote Aimpoint first because of the extrodinary battery life and reuputation for reliablity.
EOTech is very good as well.

The only "knock off" of the Aimpoint I can recommend is the Burris Speed Dot. They seem to be the best lower cost alternitive. However, they are not much cheaper than a C3 from Aimpoint.

Dot size, (or MOA) is selected based on the distances the sight will be used at.
The closer the targets, the bigger you will want the dot and vice versa. I use 4 MOA for 100 yards in and 2 MOA for 200 yards and out or use with a 3x magnifier.
