I have the 3-9x40 with illuminated rect on my AR right now. Its not bad, but aint the best. Its one of the only compact semi tactical style scopes you can find on a budget with out being a cheap ass. It is still an $85 optic and probably worth it for what it is.

They suck....yes, compaired to any Eotech, aimpoint, acog ect ect. but thats apples to oranges.

I had one of their red dots that died on the 4th round downrange.

Junk.

I'll bet that NcStar and Leapers are made in the same factory.

I had one on my first AR.  I got took!  I used it for about a year and a half, held it zero fine.  Then up on a Leupold, apples and oranges, less power many times clearer.  I used the NC Star after as a make shift spotting scope and cannot believe I did for so long, clarity was horrible!!!  I would go with BSA or something like that before NC star, look at the Super Snipers too, not too much more, but please if you dont take anything out of this thread, know you get what you pay for and don’t be like me and replace the thing a year later, pony up now.  My 2 cents.
