Just got my EoTech 552 A65 in today from LaRue (GREAT MOUNTS my first one!!!) My question is on the display. It looks very Fuzzy (Pixelly) not a nice and clean image. My buddy has the 551 and if I remember correctly it did not look like mine. He is out of town right now. Is it just me or is something wrong with it? Any help would be great. Thanx |

Not to be smart alec at all.. Do you wear glasses to see at distance? If so, put them on. Now, with both eyes open, look at something in the distance, 25-100 yards away. Move the Eotech in line with either eye while continuing to look at the distant object (target). Look at your target, NOT the reticle. The reticle will probably be in focus. If you try to focus on the reticle, it will appear to be fuzzy and pixilated. This is common with every person who takes an Eotech out of a box, turns it on, peers through it as if it were a scope, and looks at the reticle. |

I'm nearsighted. The Eotech is excellent in that it lets me wear glasses and be able to see the target, and use the sight. The reticle is in focus "out there". So my comment about glasses was due to my own experience with the Eotech. I could not tell you the number of times I've heard "I looked at an Eotech in the store (or at the gun show) and it was fuzzy and out of focus. Something must have been the matter with it." Or worse, "I took it back because it was out of focus." Never got mounted on the gun and actually tried. Too bad, his loss. It is a "heads up" display. Once you get the hang of ignoring the Eotech and just looking at the target, it is great. |
