Is this the mount used in the military? It is manufactured by Aimpoint and you need a spacer for the ring to get the proper height.

That's the QRP, and it's the standard military issued mount.

Yes that's it, and yes you need the spacer if mounted on a flat top.

Mount alone w/ no spacer = absolute co-witness
Mount w/ spacer = lower 1/3rd co-witness

Thanks for the info. I like the idea of the torque limiting knob. Only thing bad about it is it's huge and sticks out too far.
