| I was looking at an Eotech at my local gunshop. When I looked at the base, I saw the attach bolts don't seem to "cross through" the cutout in the weaver rail like a scope ring. I am looking at the setup wrong or is that how they mount? Secondly, how secure is this kind of mounting compared to the more traditional set up involved on Aimpoint scope? |

I have a LaRue mount and used tha Allen screw, mainly because it was what was already on the sight. But after reading your response, I realize it's the logical thing to do with a quick release mount. I unknowingly done good.

I've got a LaRue too and use the screw. and a dillo under my pillow. |
