Okay, I'm sure many of you are tired of such questions but, being new and being that I'm ordering on-line, I want to get things right the first time.

First, thanks to what some have mentioned, I have chosen to go with a slightly higher end scope than I first planned (my wife is not happy that that I found this site).  So, the scope will be the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 w/ balistic plex reticle. (Although, I also like the Bushnell elite 3200 3-9*40)

My RRA CAR A4 will have the Dominator 2 mount.  The question is, what are some good ways to mount the scope?  Now for a more stupid question.  I assume the mount will attach to the Dominator mount.  Will the iron sights still be usable?

Lastly, I chose the dominator 2 mount because later on, I will put an Eotech on it.  The idea is to use the scope and iron sights for on the range at medium to longer distance and the Eotech for 100 yards and less.

I appreciate any knowledge you can bestead upon my wretched  soul.

there are several way to mount a scope and still use BUIS, but I also would like to see a picture of a normal rifle scope on a Dominator.

I went the reverse way, and put the eotech 512 on the dominator first. now I am adding the eotech 3X magnifier with the flip to side mount.

edited:

I wanted to mount it on the D____2, but it can't be done, by me. the integral real sight leaves no room for anything behind the 512.  oh well

The Dominator mount is meant to mount the eotech optics and have them co witness with the iron sights. There is no way you can mount a magnified optic and not have the iron sight get in the way along with causing problems with eye relief. I guess you could rig up some sort of spacer with really tall rings to get the scope over the rear sight but that will give you a terrible cheek weld along with raising the scope way too high above the bore.

Your best bet is to pick a folding rear sight and choose either a set of rings or a one piece mount for the scope. Then you can remove it and use the eotech for shot range stuff. If you don't pick a good mount like the LaRue yoiu will have to rezero the scope every time it is removed.

Yeah, that won't work very well.

The dominator is specifically designed for the Eotech.

Until you get the eotech, I'd say just run the Burris on the flat top without the dominator.
