[ARCHIVED THREAD] - EoTech mounting question

Has anyone here mounted an EoTech foward of the carry handle? I have an A3 reciever, but mounted a detachable carry handle on it. I was thinking of mounting an EoTech foward of the handle so that I can still use the iron sights (I like iron sights, especially on an M4).

Is this recomended, or is it just too far away?

I've seen this done in various photos, so I assume it works alright. Someone on here has to have tried it...

I gave it a try, for about 30 seconds. it makes the feild of view through the Eotech to small IMHO. plus I still have a standard front sight post so I really couldnt see anything at all.
