Hi guys,  I have a new eotech 552 and put in new energizer AA lithiums.  I am sure i turned off it.  After a week the batteries were already dead.  I purchased couple of new AA lithiums again, i checked after 5 days, and the batteries were again dead.  I put in a couple of new batteries again, these time energizer alkalines, and after a day, the reticle would already flash indicating low batteries state.  What gives?  Any of you experienced this?

I am hesitant at sending the unit back since i live outside the US and it costs a lot for shipping. Thanks.

I hate those BRANDS of BATTS

I put 123 energizers in my Surefire boy it was FAST

I know only use DURACELL over  anythin except surefire batts they are ALOT CHEAPER

also My 551 eats the batts up

Its not a Problem BECAUSe I dont use it for First  PROTECTION
plus  I have batt stash all over the M4

GOD I love my AIMPOINT
bought it in 2000 same battery still running However I did change it even though it had another 3 years

Sounds like something is wrong with your sight...
Eotechs will automatically turn themselves off at either 4 or 8 hours depending on which button you use to turn it on.
You should get something like 1100 hours (almost 46 days) with lithium batteries.  I've been running the same set of energizer lithiums in my 512 for over a year of range use.

Yes, something is definitely wrong with your sight, give EOTech a call at (734) 572-2178.

I only use Energizer Lithium AA batteries with my rev F 552's and they easily last for more than year even when shooting every weekend.

However, I change my batteries once a year to keep them fresh and I also keep a spare pair of batteries in my TD Battlegrip just in case...
