Since the Leupold Mark 4 is out of the question for me due to budget restraints, what would be a good alternative? And if you have any pics of your SAM-R clones, those would be appreciated as well!

Oh yea! Budget is for around $200.00, I've been looking at the following: - Burris Fullfield II 3-9X40 - Leupold Rifleman 3-9X40 Mod# LEU56160 - Leupold 3-9X40 VX-1 - Nikon 3-9X40 ProStaff I’m working on a SAM-R clone and I’m pretty unfamiliar with magnified optics. I definitely can’t afford the actual Leupold used on the real SAM-R so I’m looking for a budget minded alternative. The Leupold’s are attractive due to the reputation, but the Burris and the Nikon are also attractive due to price. All basically have the same features plus lifetime guarantee. Ah, decisions…decisions!

My SAM-Rish rifle has a Leupold 4.5-14 Tactical of the previous generation of scopes, not the current. Still an excellent scope. I picked it up on ebay for ~ $350
